About Your Visit - What you need to know?
We make every effort to be punctual. You should allow one hour for your initial visit, although the actual length of your appointment may vary.
Dr. Cockerham looks forward to meeting with you to discuss your concerns and answer any questions you might have about possible medical and surgical options.
Dr. Cockerham and her staff are committed to providing personalized care within a pampered
setting. You will be provided with a direct email contact with our staff and Dr. Cockerham to facilitate your ongoing relationship with our office.
Patients should also be aware that many procedures, such as surgery and receiving Botox or Dermal Filler injections, require your system to be free of the following for two weeks prior to your procedure: aspirin and aspirin-containing medications (Tylenol is acceptable); Ibuprofen and other anti-inflammatory medications; blood thinners; and herbal supplements and vitamins that thin the blood.
VISIA Complexion Analysis System
Using VISIA's unique multi-spectral analysis, Dr. Cockerham will be able to demonstrate graphically how much sun damage has occurred over your lifetime and help you understand your risk for skin cancer. |

What to bring to your appointment:
- If you have received a registration form in the mail in advance of your visit, please complete this and remember to bring it with you. These questions help us to screen you for possible surgery.
Often it is helpful to have old photographs from your late teens or twenties. Old photographs help Dr. Cockerham evaluate your eyes and face and help guide any requested surgery.
- Or you can download, print and complete the patient forms provided below and bring them with you to your consultation with Dr. Cockerham.
- Bring a list of all vitamins, medicines, and eyedrops you are using. Aspirin and cousin drugs must be stopped 10 days before any procedures. With rare exceptions, if a procedure or biopsy is recommended, you will be asked to schedule a return appointment.
- Please remove any eye make-up prior to your appointment. If you wear contact lenses, please bring your glasses and a contact lens case.
- If you have a complex problem, bring copies of your medical records or special tests including the actual CT or MRI scans.

We do have an agreement with PAMF to see their Neuro-Ophthalmology patients. This includes patients that are participating in Camino Medical Group, Palo Alto Medical Clinic, Santa Cruz Medical Clinic and Palomares. Patients should still get an authorization to see Dr. Cockerham.
